如何选择二氧化硅消光剂
消光剂顾名思义加入可以起到消光作用。虽然许多东西都可以用作消光剂,如滑石粉、天然的二氧化硅、微粉蜡等,但这些均存在若干致命的缺陷。

一、不同性能要求下对消光剂的选择

1、理想的消光效率
1, ideal extinction efficiency
1)选择平均粒径较大的产品。消光剂的平均粒径越大,消光效率就越高。但如颗粒太大了,会导致漆膜表面太粗糙,影响手感和外观。

2、理想的透明性

1)选择平均粒径较小的产品。配方中同等添加量的情况下,消光剂的平均粒径越小,漆膜的透明性就越好,但相应消光效率也会降低,需要指出的是细粉含量太高,对透明度会产生负面影响。

2)表面处理。由于消光粉表面处理的类型不同,会影响其与基料的润湿分散性,从而会影响到漆膜的透明性。因此需要调整消光粉与基料之间的匹配性,必要时可通过添加润湿分散助剂来改善。同时还需注意是否有其他导致漆膜透明性变差的因素,如相容性较差的助剂或者差的颜料等。

4、理想的悬浮性  一般来说,消光剂随着涂料存放时间的延长,都会在一定程度上出现分层与沉淀,表面经过有机处理的产品防沉性能会好一些。因此配方设计时,应考虑如何避免消光粉的沉淀问题,填加适当的防沉助剂。

二、不同体系涂料对消光剂的选择

1、溶剂型涂料
1. Solvent coating
1)在透明清漆中,消光剂的加入不能在贮存时产生硬沉淀,也不能影响最终漆膜的透明度。因此,正如上面所提到的,有机物处理的消光剂是最佳的选择。用有机物处理的消光剂还可以带来另外一些好处,如表面滑爽、抗擦伤性增强等。

2)在色漆体系中,由于有颜料的加入,颜料的比重比消光剂大得多,所以消光剂的沉淀不是问题。出于节省成本的考虑,可以选用无表面处理的消光剂,但有时,为了改善漆膜的手感和抗擦伤性,也可以选用有机处理的消光剂。  在溶剂型体系中,消光剂的粒径要根据涂料体系的干膜厚度和所需的漆膜表面性质,比较细的消光剂会使漆膜表面比较平滑,手感较好,但其消光效率不如较粗的消光剂。而闭孔式木器漆,手感要求较高,所以要选用较细的消光剂。  消光剂的添加量取决于树脂体系,固体含量、干膜厚度、消光剂的型号、干燥方法和所要求的光泽度。需选择最佳消光剂和计算所需用量,绘制出所考虑的涂料体系在近似实际使用条件下的消光曲线。

The fine matting agent will make the surface of the paint film smoother and feel better, but its extinction efficiency is not as good as the rough matting agent. And the closed wood lacquer, the feel of the hand is higher, so we should choose the finer extinction agent. The addition of the extinction agent depends on the resin system, the solid content, the thickness of the dry film, the type of the extinction agent, the drying method, and the required glossiness. The optimum extinction agent and the required amount needed were selected to draw the extinction curve of the coating system under the approximate actual conditions.
2、水性涂料体系  随着环保问题的日益突出,传统的溶剂型涂料正在逐渐被一些环保型涂料所取代,水性涂料,特别是用于木器的水性涂料的发展,对二氧化硅消光剂的需求也越来越多。传统的消光剂虽然可以对水性涂料进行消光,但存在许多弊端。水性涂料体系粘度较低,因此要求消光剂对其体系尽可能小地影响,即二氧化硅吸油量尽可能地小,同时也必须有利于在水性体系中分散。
