消光粉要达到消光效果，必须在漆膜的表面造成光线漫反射，否则消光效果不好。

目前市场上的消光粉的粒径不会大于30微米，对于一般的面漆来说，已经足够了，消光粉一般不研磨的原因是消光粉自身的海绵状结构，过度研磨（或者分散）会破坏海绵状结构，形成光滑的切面，造成消光效率下降。

消光粉研磨的话，消光能力会有影响的，一般消光粉的粒径在5-20um，不会对表面产生影响，如果有影响的话，加入时的步骤（在搅拌时加入）和油漆的粘度可以适当低点，除非消光粉的分散能力差，否则分散15~30min就达到要求。
